Pain

If pain had eyes to see one suffering
If pain had ears to listen one crying
If pain had patience to give one time
If pain had speech to explain reason
If pain had feelings of love to help one

None could have been in misery
None could have been helpless
None could have been hopeless
None could have suffered in vain
None could have a combat with it

Pain, you’re terribly terrific intruder
Noble souls, infants and innocents
None you spare ,no one you care
Your determination is gruesome

When you intrude as a kind visitor
One learns value of time, life and love
But you resolve to ruin mirth from life
On not being pleased, you’d invite death

Here you’re rude at times, you’d care nothing
Except for making one, one of the things that were
Death isn’t even kind, deeds of noble it doesn’t count
End of bonds, wants and needs it declares

We’d studied you very intensely
We’d learn to unlearn wrong practices
We’d put check to your intrusive ways
We’d be prepared to meet you boldly
We’d start caring each minute we’re safe
We’d stop degrading lives as you do

But
Pain and death….
be a bit merciful at least on kids🙏
