“It’s not yet late” A small poem written by me at comments section in response to eminent Literary Critic,Poet and Essayist Prof Cijo Joseph Chennelil’s poem titled ” Not Honouring our part of the Bargain” caught his attention to be reviewed. Thus more eloberative essentials of man, need of the hour, have been focused in concern to the mother earth in an effective manner by the reviewer. I express my humble gratitude for mentioning my poem as a poem reviewed for educating the world through his mastery.

Your poem titled “It is not yet late!” is a poem that exhorts people to use all the skills in their armour to come up with solutions to save Mother Earth.The clarion call made in the poem to put an end to the exploitation of Earth is touching and evocative.Since,we have the expertise to plough up this Earth or to bring total destruction to her,then of course we have the equal capacity to restore this Earth to its previous state of ecological balance and sustainable mode.The restoration of Mother Earth to its former grandeur is not too late rather even now it is quite possible to accomplish such a milestone or task.The things that we need to do urgently and on a war-footing manner to rescue this planet from an imminent or impending meltdown or catastrophe are related to the sprucing up of afforestation campaigns,the reduction in the production of greenhouse gases,the complete eradication of the burning of fossil fuels,the less reliance upon private transport system,the elimination of factories producing pollutants of the highest order,the promotion of clean energy sources such as wind energy,wave energy,biomass energy,solar energy and all other renewable energy sources,the total banning of clearing of forest areas to convert them into farm lands and the strict punishment for those people resorting to acts of sabotaging the very sustainability factor of Mother Earth.So,it is high time that we make adequate steps to protect our Mother Earth from a situation wherein it faces a disaster of massive scale because of the excesses committed upon Earth by us and also for undertaking an anthropocentric driven developmental process.Kudos to you for composing such a poem of marvellous nature.

“It’s Not Yet Late!

One who’s expertised in ruining the earth
One who’s sophisticated in exploiting it’s wealth
Is also not worst enough to have a check
Is also intelligent enough in restoring beauty
Is also eminent in enriching self by saving earth

So let’s work in unison being only sons of nature
To save our mother to save self
To rescue her beauty to rescue our beauty
To honour her abundance to honour our existence!
