DIWALI

Festival of lights
Lights of victory
Victory over evil
Evil is ignorance
Ignorance ought to be eradicated
Eradicated ignorance lights knowledge
lights of knowledge and wisdom
Wisdom is in celebrations pollutionless
Pollutionless minds and hearts can light
Lights of happiness in the hearts you greet
Greet aiming oneness, objecting crackers
Crackers ain’t part of celebrations of festival
Festival is of lights you celebrate to achieve
Achieve victory over meanness, rudeness
Unhappiness, greediness and lots of mess
Mess of anger, lust, fear, hatred and inequalities
Inequalities of caste, creed, religion and status
Status is in being humane with empathy
Empathy in acts shadowed by sympathy
Sympathy without empathy is lifeless act
Acts of respecting, restoring peace in oneself and nature
Nature of man if is reflection of nature’s nature
Nature would be pristine, protecting us from destruction
Destruction caused to nature does destruct man
Man if can’t mould his acts wisdomless
Wisdomless he would end up miserably
Miserably you don’t pollute the earth
Earth is source of health and wealth
Wealth is in safeguarding environment
Environment you don’t pollute on the name of festival of lights
Lights of ghee you lit educating importance of festival to generations!
