Her lips lost their smiles
Lips requested eyes
To search their smiles

Eyes went in search
To people they know
But all in vain!!

Heart was moved
On the pathetic plight
Of eyes and lips

It knows where her smiles are
Yet was mum as eyes were busy
In their mission sensitive

Eyes have gone to beautiful
Places she loves, asking
Rivers, plants, trees and beasts but in vain

Tired eyes pleaded heart
“Help us to find smiles of her lips”
Heart very smartly

Showed her smiles
Smiles weren’t anywhere else
But in her, in her inner self

All she did then was to talk
to herself! Till she found
her smile lost! Till she painted
Smiles on her lips!!

How innocent she was!
